90 years after my Great Grandfather Sabatay peddled fruit on a wagon through the Lower East Side, would he be pleased to know that his great granddaughter is peddling t-shirts from across the river in Hoboken? Would my Great Grandfather William who ran a tailor shop in the Bronx be impressed? Perhaps not, but they probably would think selling shirts via some contraption called "the World Wide Web" is pretty great. Progress, progress...
I started this company for people to show their pride... either where they live now or where their ancestors came from. As much as I want to send cool t-shirts out into the world, I truly hope people will start talking about their family's roots. I want kids to ask their grandparents about their grandparents. I want kids to learn about the many cultures in the United States and, in many cases, the many cultures represented within their own family.
Please let me know how those conversations go and remember to write down what you learn for the next generation to read !
In the meantime, this company reflects me, so I want customers to have the best experience possible. I will do all I can to ensure you are happy with the quality of the shirts, the designs and the delivery time.
